water

Water is such a precious element and we give little thought to it until we turn the faucet and nothing comes out of the spout. I got up at 5:15 and went to make coffee and had no water.
They restored our supply at 8:15. I had a 2 liter bottle of water and a large supply out side in a container so I can water the chickens with out turning on the out side water supply. I use some of that water to flush the toilet. The water was muddy when it came on so I watered all my tomato plants to help flush the line.
My neighborhood who is all most deaf saw me and said you have water and we don't I kept yelling yes you do! finally he turned on his out side faucet and said Oh now we have water.
I called Fleta and George answered the phone I ask him do you have water? he said yes I just flushed the toilet. I said that doesn't mean you have water it means reservoir on the toilet had water so he went and turned on a faucet and assured me they had water so I knew the main line was working.
Have you ever thought about what you would do if there was some kind of major failure in our water supply? Do not assume you would buy bottled water because that will not last long if ever one is buying bottled water.

I would probably be carrying water from Galla lake like we carried it when we were kids.

I guess if we were out very long and I could not buy it I would have to get it out of the jacuzzi and boil it....
