Aurora Borealis

northern lights or Aurora Borealis , beginning in the early 50's we had sever drought in north west Arkansas. because of the heat we would set in the yard on quilts in the evening and one such night we saw these strange lights in the northern sky. we were puzzled as to what it could be and daddy said it had to be the Aurora Borealis and we were able to see them because of the drought. I guess I am the only one still alive in our family that remember this. Clayton was there as well as Fleta and Betty but they were probably to young to remember.
It was a eerier sight pink and green lights floating in waves in the sky. I am glad that I got to see this natural event that usualy doesn't happen in our area.
