George Bush's war is fading

IRAQ-KUWAIT BORDER — The last U.S. combat troops crossed the border into Kuwait on Thursday morning, bringing to a close the active combat phase of a 7½-year war that overthrew the dictatorial regime of Saddam Hussein, forever defined the presidency of George W. Bush and left more than 4,400 American service members and tens of thousands of Iraqis dead.
This is not the end to troops in Iraq. 50 thousand troops remain in the country.
There is no time to rejoice since we still are fighting in Afghanistan and many lives are being lost in Obama's war.

Politicians! How I hate them. They send other people's kids into a false war. Nothing will change in Afghanistan. The Russians learned that in their ten years there, It's futile to try to change a culture from without. Culture change must occur from within. We're still fighting our own culture change and have been since the 60's. Why do we feel we have anything to say about a culture across the world? We have plenty of problems to fix here at home.
