The wild geese

The dog whined at 9:30 tonight and I took her out for a romp. We had a down pour early and the clouds were moving across the sky and then I heard the call of the wild goose. I stood and listened as they made their way across the dark sky flying from the north to the south.
I love the sound of the Canadian geese. It is a lonesome sound and it makes me stand and listen when I hear their song . They are calling "winter is coming and we are out of here!"
I made pumpkin pie and raisin pie early and they are cooling on the rack now.

I have never made a raisin pie ever... I made 2 pumpkin last week and had to throw 3/4 of one away. I could not manage to get it to Bill's house. I thought I might make an apple pie today for tomorrow. I think I would be able to take that with us to CA safely.

I have also thought about making a small thanksgiving dinner. I think if I slice up turkey breast, and make all of the Potatoes ect and wrap it all in heavy foil I have a special pan where I could steam it all over a 1 burner hooked to a coleman gas bottle and we could eat on the beach and have a little picknick. We always take a cooler with drinks ect and Benjamin's special milk.

Years ago when we went to CA every year for years we camped and I always heated a pre cooked thanksgiving diner for all of us. I think I could still manage that.

I am thankful to be getting out of town for awhile. This will be a nice trip for me. Benjamin and Missy will have a good time at Sea World especially since the tickets are free. and the Hotel is beautiful and relaxing.

Bill got me a lap top computer. he put windows 7 on it. As they upgrade at work they let the employees buy the old ones. He told me it was 150 . and they will let him work it odd doing extra stuff for his boss. I am glad because I do not have any extra right now. The battery part is not working properly but he says he can soder that and it will work. He said it would take about an hour to do it though. and he wanted me to have it for CA. and if it is plugged in it works just fine. It is nice to have up in my room. I try to go there every evening early and leave Benjamin and Missy alone down stairs.

Oh my and I have to tell this one....The doctors office has 2 computers where patients can get on and surf. After they pull blood, mix it with radio active stuff, let that sit and then inject me for a scan I have to wait up to 90 minutes on some of them before I can go through the Machine...So patients often get on one of their computers. Well yesterday I had a muga scan and the wait was 30 minutes from the blood draw to reinjection and I got on their computer. I can never remember my own sight but ALWAYS if you pull up google and type in pattypenny...Patsy's blog is the 1st thing that pops up ALWAYS...so I pulled up her blog...

The racoon post came up just fine but the post before that about the funny chicken blocked it...It said, "Banner Desert Hospital does not allow any websites refering to any type of porn or any site that could compermise national security!" I wish they had had a printer I could have printed it out. I almost fell over in my chair....It certainly was the high lite of the entire scan......
