Mrs. Q

I am 72 years old and it has been over 50 years since I went to school. I found this blogger who is a teacher I suppose and s he is blogging about her school lunches.
When I went to school we had cooks that cooked, I might not like the food they cooked but by golly they cooked it.
I was so amazed to see that school lunches are TV dinners with out the TV. Mrs Q is squealing on the school lunch program. Every day she eat in the cafeteria and then blogs about the food if it can be called that, that is served to our children in the school system this time and place. The brown round thing that I thought was a hot dog in the photo is a bread stick. This is a disgrace to say the least.
Mrs Q is working under cover because i am sure if they find who she is she would lose her job. click the title and look at what school children are told to eat.

O' just passed a new set of rules for them to go by. The meals will be worse I am sure.

Our lroom cooks wholewheat rolls, I think they are nasty. Give me the white flour ones, or not! We have a great lroom lady, but as I said there are a lot of rules they have to follow!

They serve breakfast now too! I ate the Xmas dinner. They served it Wed. It was ham, mashed potatoes, green beans, the wholewheat rolls and chocolate cake for dessert. The cake was homemade with white icing. They call it Wacky Cake. Kids like it but I don't. The green beans were the best part of the meal. I am sure the potatoes were instant. The ham was that boneless kind you can buy cheap in the store and each serving was a half slice. There was pineapple chunks on it.

Any how...that was the meal on Wed. I think there was a salad too. But can't remember.

I think the lunches out here in Ca. look better and they at least get a salad bar that offers fruit too...
