Nadean payne dies

Nadean Payne, a resident of Green Forest, died Sunday, April 3 (2011) at Autumn Hill Nursing Facility in Berrryville, at the age of 86.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, at Holt Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Dean Smith officiating.

Burial will be at Alpena Cemetery with Larry Wheatley, Johnny Callen, Steve Smith, Gary Williams, Scott Widner and Kenny Smothers serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include Joella and J.W. Clemons, Glenna and Gene Combs, Billie and Tom Wilcox, Zenobia and Pete Daniels, Betty and Tom Wymore, Lavonne Langston, Ruby Howard and Mary Stanphill.

Visitation will be during office hours Tuesday, April 5 and one hour before service time on Wednesday, April 6, at Holt Memorial Chapel.

Nadean was born at Crane, Mo., on May 16, 1924, a daughter of Charles T. and Allie (Goforth) Payne. She worked for many years at Ocomo/Tyson and as a Green Thumb worker after her retirement. She was a member of Alpena Baptist Church and the Batavia Friendship Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Vondean Payne and is survived by cousins and friends.

well I do not know who this person is but I assume they are kin to the Smith's and Smother's in some way.... maybe this was someone you just worked with at Tyson..h
