storms

Emergency workers wait for a medical team after finding a body in a tornado ravaged car in Joplin, Mo., in the early hours of Monday, May 22. A large tornado moved through much of the city Sunday, damaging a hospital and hundreds of homes and businesses.
Today: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 7am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 78. South southwest wind between 10 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.

Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms likely. Cloudy, with a low around 63. South southeast wind between 5 and 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.

We didn't get blown away yesterday evening but today is another day. Seems like we are hearing about of a lot of storms this spring.

Most of my son-in-law's relatives are in Carthage and Joplin. He's heard from most of his relatives and they're OK, but some have lost their homes.
