candy and Letterman

colorful birds.

I awoke to rain on the roof this morning. The day is suppose to be warm with a forecast of 98 for a high. I am not worried unless the electric fails we have 2 air conditioners 1 floor unit and a new window unite that hasn't been turned on since Kelly fixed the floor unit.

A frequent contributor to a jihadist website has threatened David Letterman, urging Muslim followers to "cut the tongue" of the late-night host because of a joke the comic made on his CBS show. Letterman had made jokes about the killing of Osama bin laden and the fellow didn't think it was a joking matter. I am some what in agreement with the fellow, The death of a human being no matter who is not a joke but I don't want such a destruct action as to cut his tongue out. I would shut the TV off.
PALMYRA, Pa. — Hundreds of foreign students, waving their fists and shouting defiantly in many languages, walked off their jobs on Wednesday at a plant here that packs Hershey’s chocolates, saying a summer program that was supposed to be a cultural exchange had instead turned them into underpaid labor.
Who would believe that our GOVERMENT would bring young people here as a culture tour and put them to work at a candy factory deducting money from their wages to pay for room and board and then paying low wages.
Unemployment is high and we are importing students from China, Russia, Nigeria, Romania and Ukraine, and making them work in the candy factories of one of the riches families in our country to pay their way.
It would be interesting to know if Hershey received a tax break for employing these students. I have know for years that the meat industries in this country having worked at one for years was very hard and low paying work but I never dreamed our sweet tooth was feed by slave labor from foreign countries.
