year in review

1. the worst thing that happen this year to me was the death of my daughter in fact it will be the worst thing that happen next year unless God forbid I lose another child.
2. funniest thing that happen was Anthony wiener and his photos.
3. Attempted assassination of Arizona congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and subsequent shooting in Casas Adobes, Arizona at a Safeway grocery store.
4. Fidel Castro resigns from the Communist Party of Cuba's central committee after 45 years. the long awaited end to this man came with a whimper not a bang.
5.An EF5 Tornado strikes the city of Joplin, Missouri killing at least 158 people.
6. The worst thing to happen for Nancy Ratzlaff A helicopter shot down containing members of Navy SEAL including her only son who died that day.
7. the governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger finished his term with the news that he has a son by his housekeeper.
8. the big surprise for the year was that the mother in Florida Casey Anthony was acquitted of the death of her child.
9. The United States leaving Iraq .
10. The (supposed death) of Usama Bin Laden.
11. the oil spill in the gulf off the coast of Louisiana damaging so many lives and it will be doing so for years to come.
12.The news that many graves at Arlington cemetery have been lost and now comes the news that many of the stones are not where they should be . I noticed this especially because Nancy 's son Tommy Ratzlaff was buried there. She said while standing by his grave I will never be able to find this grave site again if I can manage to come here again her daughter told her I will be able to find it mom if you want to come back. Now it seems maybe not. what a crying shame and I never have understood how the ashes of our war dead were dumped in a land fill .
13. "The Air Force dumped the incinerated partial remains of at least 274 American troops in a Virginia landfill," The Washington Post reports this morning, adding that it's "far more than the military had acknowledged, before halting the secretive practice three years ago, records show

Merry Christmas, Sister! I visited this site several times a day...over the last year...many times it was the highlight of my day, especially if I was toiling away at work.
