VIRGIL, JIMMY AND ME

Jimmy Powell , me and Virgil miles started the first grade together at Denver Ar. 1944.


LOOK THEY SAY HE IS 74 AND HE DIED IN APRIL OF THIS YEAR.

Virgil F. Miles, age 74 of Omaha, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Cox Health South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. The son of Leonard Peck Miles and Gladys (Hefner) Miles was born August 28, 1938 in Denver, Arkansas. Virgil was a U.S. Army veteran and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Pearl (Roberts) Miles; two brothers, Mickey Miles and Cecil Hefner; and two sisters, Corine McGee and Fay Hickman. Survivors are his children, Lisa Miles, Mark Miles, Shannon Miles and wife, Lisa, and Cody Miles and Haley Herman, all of Omaha, Arkansas; brother, David Miles and wife, Valerie of Harrison; two grandsons, Daniel Miles and Matthew Miles; a great-granddaughter, Nevaeh Miles; nephews, Barney Hickman and Danny Hickman of Harrison, Arkansas; and a host of other relatives and friends. Cremation and arrangements were handled by Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. There will be a Celebration of Life 5:30 P.M. Sunday, July 28 at Denver Cemetery.

Virgil was your age and Mickie was mine. You probably had to sit by Virgil through school. I had to sit by Mickie and Billy Peden and Tommy Newberry. We were always abc order and I was always near them in school. I hated it.
