salmon faverolle chickens

One of my all time favorites, the Salmon Faverolle is a wonderfully colored chicken with an elegant appearance and a calm and dignified demeanor. Bred in France since the 1850s, this medium heavy breed originated from crossing Houdans, Dorkings, and some Asiatic Breeds.
Salmon Faverolles are generally good layers of cream tinted eggs. Many people are now choosing this cute and calm chicken as a backyard exhibition breed and a pet.
The breed is noted for its exaggerated beard, muffs, feathered feet, and its five toes.
