Thelma said the low blow was when she and her children picked blackberries and saved the money. The drunkard stole it and got boozed up. She said you went very low when you would steal the blackberry money!
I remember that day. Clayton drove us all up there to see her and she was so flustered because she could not talk where we could understand what she was saying.
You know I had what I call "My Episode" where I had a TIA a few years ago and could not speak. I knew what everyone was saying. My intelligence was no where near Thelma's and still I thought, “I am surrounded by such stupid people!" There is no telling what she thought!
When I was in the hospital Mike would say things that I thought were ridiculous and I would make a snorting nose like, "Humph," Kris would comment, "I don't think Mom liked that remark!" She was right.
I remember the first, Humph," I made that day was when we were on the way to the emergency room, I could not talk or walk and Mike had to drive through McDonalds to get him something to eat! I kid you not, that is true!

gone tomorrow.
