indian skin man alive

S.C.Turnbo told some interesting things about nortwest AR. one of which was about Indians skinning a man alive that was on a wagon train going west that started in north west Ar.
My sister mentioned that our neighbor told my father about this and said it was his mothers brother.
You might fine Turnbo's writing interesting, just click on the title of this post and you can read about The history of north west Ar.

Northwest Arkansas sounds like it was a rough place to be. I hope that all happened a long, long time ago!

Thank you for posting these rip-roaring tales. NW Arkansas does sound rougher then than it is now. But I kept thinking about the rough world of Taliban, Afghanistan as I read both tales and I'm of the conclusion that there's only a very thin line between rough and civilized behavior. Most of us walk the line toward the civilized side but certainly not all of us.
