June Bug

When we were children these were our play things. We tied feed sack string on their legs and watched them fly, better and more interesting that a flying model plane or kite. Posted by Picasa

We did that in Missouri, too, Patsy. And did you make rings around your fingers with the glowing parts of lightning bugs?

Lots of nice pictures today.

Great photos Patsy - and really interesting.

The rabbits ate the bottom of all my rudbeckia plants but the tops survived but they are no where near ready to flower yet

We did that with June bugs when we were kids in Arkansas too. Must be a universal country kid thing to do! Thanks for the memory -

Now I can see what I remember from all those years ago - to think, I actually tied it to the back of my chair in Grandma's kitchen and she never said a word - thanks for the great photo
