Wild Black Berries

 
i have a patch of Black Berries growing in the pasture where the horse grazes. looks like if everthing goes ok I will have black berries in July.
The only thing bad about picking black berries is wadeing the weeds and tall grass but the horse has grazed out several paths I can follow. Black Berry cobler is very good. The way to cook this is gather the berries, wash and then boil with enough sugar to taste, add a small amount of water at the start. Make a large amount of pie crust, cut crust in strips. use a deep pan . Layer the crust and berries in the pan and end with the crust on top. sprinkle the top crust with sugar and bake until top is golden brown.
