The Queen City

It is 4 in the morning and I am up. We are going to the queen city of the Ozarks today. Daughter has to go see a doctor there today.
I will take the camera and try getting a good photo for velvet sacks. She told me she lived there long time ago. They called Springfield Mo. the queen city of the Ozarks when I was a girl.
We listened to kwto on the radio and they would say "this is kwto coming to you from the queen city of the Ozarks,Springfield Mo".
My grandfather had a neighbor that had to make a trip to Springfield to see a doctor back in the 40's. This was a long way from sunny lane Ar. in many ways other than distance.
Mr. Myers was on sunshine street looking for his doctor's office when he decided he had passed the address . He made a wide u turn and started back when the local fuzz turned on his ride light and Serene and Myers pulled over. The cop walked up to Myers car and said YOU CAN'T DO THAT HERE! The old arkansaser said yes I can I just did! I must remember to tell Janet no u turns in Springfield.
oh yes, in that day police cars had red lights on their cars not blue.
