I gave the pekin rooster to son and he is going to take him to the sale tonight. I had to fight him every time I went into the pen and in 2 weeks I will move the hens back into the pen where the old English game rooster and I was sure he would fight my pretty rooster so I made the decision to get rid of him. I have 2 of his sons that will go into the pen and they wont fight at least until next spring when I can separate them
I really wanted to keep him but I had to make a choice between him and my OEG and so away he went
It has rained so much here that everything is soaked. I have been out spreading fly bait . The flies are terrible.I have never seen a year like this Rain, rain and more rain and the temperature has not gone past 90 degrees yet.

I don't think you will miss him. I might have clubbed him as I can't stand one trying to 'get' me.
Rain, rain and more rain and temperature never above 90 degrees is a good thing, isn't it? I'm usually miserable in the summer, but this one hasn't been as bad, thank goodness.
You have the most interesting chickens!
Hi Patsy, If I look north from the 11th story I can't see all the way to you, though I wish I could. I'd wave and shout "HELLO".
Patsy, was thinking this is the day that Grandpa Powell died.
My rooster is still mean but he is a fine crower so I keep him around. Him & my little sooner teenage dog fight & it is so funny. Patsy we are so dry here. Well we have gotten some rain over the last month but we are so behind! My pond looks bad.
