I so love seeing pictures of baby chicks!! I'm still laughing at that air conditioner the guy put on his car...you have to admit, he's a smart man! lol
when my grandson was five. my step mom had a tom turkey call gober.
he was the sweetest thing.he loved to be petted just like a dog.matter of fact I do believe he thought he was a dog or at lest a person. my step mom raised him alone so he did not know he was a turkey.
my grandson would play out side and gober would watch him.and every so often he would come close to TJ for a hug or to be petted.they would play for a long time. gober would follow TJ every where, and if he got close to some place he shouldnt be gober would push him away to some other place.
we would just watch and wonder what kind of turkey he was. but I knew,he was one of God,s winged angel,s only in not so pretty a body. Gober has long since gone to the big turkey yard in the sky.we miss his sweetness.and every once in awhile TJ will say something about his childhood friend. and we did not have gober for turkey dinner.he is buryed in a marked place in the wood,s.a peaceful place for a loved friend to lay at rest.. thanks for sharing this picture it brought back a lovely memorie.

You asked, "why build a bear?" Did you see Helen's comment. I think she answered your question.
