i am going to get in this pen in September and catch the pullets and put them in my main pen. i think I have 13 or 14 females in this pen.
I have 7 roosters and I will put them in the rooster pen. Son thinks he can make money selling mated pairs in the spring. I am going to keep the roosters and send some of the pullets I don't wont and let him try.

Sometimes our struggle to exist reminds me of the chickens. So hot now, but I was thinking the other day about the cold winter and trying to keep the house warm. I have been heating our house with little heaters and I need a butane tank and a stove like Clayton has.
We used to heat with wood, but it got to be too big a mess and ordeal. Growing old is not too good but the alternative is the just ashes.
