My hens have a shade in the morning hours with the walnut tree just outside the pen but from 2 o'clock on until sun down they have to go inside the house for shade. I thought it probably heats up in there with all of them in there so I took a piece of metal and made a shade on the west side of the pen. I will know later if this works.
Mr. Bush's brain retires on the 31 of august, Karl Rove is going back to Texas. I am sure he has landed some high paying job with his corporation buddys. I will be glad when he goes all Bush can say after he leaves is uh uh uh .

Poor little chickens. This heat is simply awful. I hope the shaded area keeps them cooler.
I couldn't believe Rove when he said he just had to retire to spend more time with his family. Really now.
