cholesterol and all that gobbly gook

For years at work the public health nurse would come around once a year and do a health check, they called it a health fair.
They always checked your cholesterol and I never let them check mine. I figured mine would be thro the roof.
Last January while i was in the hospital they checked mine and I thought here we go. Guess what mine, yes big fat me, was in a normal range.

Well done you, you obviously eat healthily!

My husband and all his family have inherited cholesterol problems and if he ate nowt he would still have a high reading - but thankfully in this day and age -pills keep it down - and we too eat healthily and steer clear of any junk food

When I asked my aunt, who is 80, what her cholesterol reading was, she told me "good". I asked when she'd had it taken and she said, "Forty years ago it was good and I think it's still good."

Ah, the power of positive thinking. She's going strong.

I'm glad yours is good, Patsy, and that you had it checked recently.

By the way, those feet in the photo I posted today belong to a child who was playing in the park. But I do have grandchildren who have cute little feet like those.

Mine is normal, too, which always astonishes my doctor.
