Seems Ford had loose lips and left a record of his opinions about every one in politics.
I remember he pardoned Nixon and said he did it for the good of the country.
I have always thought he made a deal with Nixon, I pardon you and you make me president.
We must not forget while this man was in office his wife was hiding in the pantry drinking cooking sherry. I also remember when he lost the election he wouldn't come down and concede for hours and finally when he did His wife had to talk for him.
He said from the grave Bill Clinton is a sex addict and this is what he had to say about Hillary.
As for Hillary Clinton, Ford saw her as the driving force in their marriage. "She's stronger and tougher than he is," Ford said. "When she takes a point, you're gonna have to be damn sure you're well informed because she won't compromise as quickly or as easily as he. She's very bright. She's strong, and I think he defers to her. When she gets her dander up, she ain't gonna roll over." By 2002, Ford was predicting that Hillary Clinton would be on the ticket in 2004 or 2008 but would lose the general election because the country is not yet "ready for a lady president."
Maybe we are ready for a women president after 8 years of one of Jerry Ford's Republican presidents.

I read a book about him. I am always most interested in 'growing up' and he had a step father and step brothers. I think his step father was in a paint business. I got the feeling he did not take anything very seriously. Mostly he like playing golf and being friends with the 'big' guys. He made me think of a empty figure head! Not good or bad...just empty.
Better say it when you're dead and gone - no one to argue back at you, right?
i like jimmy carter better , he is making all kinds of statement about our leaders and some people say he shouldn't but he is alive so they can answer back.
His wife might have been hiding in the kitchen drinking sherry but look what Clinton was doing in the oval office!
