New life
These little bantams just break my heart some times. I have a small hen who has being trying to set for 3 months. several times I took eggs away from her because she had so many she could not cover them. When I was in the hospital she hatched and I could not be there to move her. When I got home I found one chick drowned in the chicken water and no telling how many chicks she had that the other chickens killed.
About 3 weeks ago I found her with 4 eggs and left her because the other hens were not laying in this nest.
Bless her heart she hatched 3 chicks. I have her in a pen by her self and she is trying to look after her babies. If you can see the little black spot under the log, that is one of her babies.
Me and the wound vac are getting along OK. I got a nights rest and all the things they said might happen did not happen so I am feeling better. The girl will not come but 3 days a week now and I like that better. I don't like strangers in my house. So now I will only have to deal with them Monday, Tuesday and Friday.
The lady who came with the nurse, her boss I think said she thought it would take 2 months for my wound to heal with the wound vac and 6 months with out it.
Any way I am OK this morning if being attached to a burping machine and 20 feet of tubing is being OK.

I think some women have about as much trouble trying to raise their brood as your little Bantie does.
