chicks

The chicks with the hen are doing fine in this photo you can see how much difference 13 days make in chick development.
49 degrees and cool this morning, will we ever get a normal day here in temperature? the high today is suppose to be 68 degrees.
My hatchery chicks are to be here next Wednesday.
My son sold 24 hens at the huntiville sale last night and they brought 9 dollars each. I don't see how people can give that for a hen and expect to make back the cost of the hen.

It was cold here this morning, too, and the high will be in the sixties but 80s by the end of this week. I can't wait!!!!!!!! I had no idea that live chickens cost so much money. He sure did get a good price for them.

Patsy ...think of all that feeding and care. They are worth 9 dollars each...easily.

Patsy, how can you sell your chickens after all that care and work? I would think you'd be personally attached to each and every one of them. Don't you talk to them? I'll bet they miss you. How do you know what will happen to them in their new life?
