2 roosters
These are 2 of the 5 chicks my little bantam hatched out. They are 3 weeks older than the hatchery chicks and I am able to begin to see the sex of these 5. If I am correct I have 3 pullets and 2 roosters. the other chicks she is brooding are still to young to call. She has 9 chicks.
If we had raised these 2 on the farm when I was young we would be eyeing them with a hungry eye.
I think if I am able I will butchery some of these chicks this fall since I have so many. I might even butcher my 6 older hens when the young pullets start laying nothing taste better than a good fat hen.

Hi Patsy! You are welcome to use my photos anytime, just please say where they came from. I'll answer your other question back at my place so everyone can see. Thanks!
Oh...I'm working on designing a little mobile chicken house from an old garden cart we had, just big enough for three hens. That way I can move it around with a yard made from PVC pipe and chicken wire that will attach to it. I'll post photos when I get it done but it's a 2010 goal for new chicks in the spring.

Hi again Patsy - I would love to have some of your beautiful hens but Mike is working in Mexico these days because the economy shut down drilling pretty much in the US. He'll be working 28 day rotation shifts down there for the next couple of years, so no where near Arkansas! Thank you so much for thinking me worthy! Carmon
