Helen and Fleta went to our old neighbors home. They were my father's neighbors for at least 50 years before the war they were neighbors at Carrollton Ar. and after the war daddy bought the farm on dry creek and the Morris' bought a farm across the creek. At the beginning there was Hugh and Lizzy and their 2 adult children, Lois and Virgil. The mother and father died after that the brother and sister stayed on and farmed the land.
3 years ago Virgil died being in his 80's then there was Lois living 2 years alone on the land.
6 months ago Lois went to the hospital and died .My sisters took a photo thro' the window and the house is just like Lois left it.She had no direct descents so some cousins will inhered because Lois never made a will, They had tried to get her to but she told me she didn't want to make a will and so the home owner has been called away and her possessions set like they were the day she went away.
Someday the heirs will settle the estate but as for now the home sets vacant waiting for Lois to come home.
The farm tools in the photo are probably at least 80 years old.

Oh, to have one of those good sugar cookies she made. I remember going and Lizzie had a wood cook stove going. And the spring by the creek...it was always so cool near that spring.
Mike and I will be down some time on Wed. - can't wait to see you all.
