problem?

Folks in Colorado have been complaining because they have more ladybugs than they want. I would like to have this problem.
I awoke to distant thunder and we are getting rain again this morning.

I'd almost wager that those are Asian lady beetles; not the "ladybug, ladybug, fly away home" that we know and love.

Asian lady beetles have made themselves at home here; you don't notice them until fall, when farmers are harvesting soybeans. When their natural home and food supply is no longer available, they go to people's homes and hide in every available crack and crevice. If you open the door to go in or out, they swarm inside.

Also, they stink when you mash them.

Yep, I googled "ladybugs in Colorado" and indeed, it is Asian lady beetles. They bite, too, which our good ladybugs do no.
