The six red hens are laying very well, I get four or five big brown eggs a day.They are pretty good hens but I will have to cull them when I let my new pullets into the chicken house because the red hens are mean. Remember the young rooster that I put in with them? They killed him !
I have read of people having trouble putting new chicken in a flock but I have never had trouble with this before. These old girls are killers.

Chickens can do some nasty things and they eat things a lot nastier than most people think. Don't feed chickens any green onion tops unless you want eggs that taste like onions.
