In my opinion Al Gore would have been president if he had just recognized that Bill Clinton was asset to his campaign but instead he push Clinton away from him like he was afraid he would soil his person because of Clinton's sex scandals.
This photo shows Gore and Clinton at the airport when Bill brought the to journalist home. I read some where that when Bill shakes the hand of a political enemy he always placed his left hand on the elbow of the other person so he could pull them to himself , note Bill Clinton's hand on Gore's elbow. this photo caused me to chuckle.
