Coach Fred Grim, a resident of Prairie Grove, AR (formerly of Green Forest, AR) was born March 24, 1936 in Green Forest, AR, a son of Charles E. and Iva Lou (Walker) Grim. He departed this life Wednesday, June 9, 2010 in Springdale, AR, at the age of 74.
Fred was a member of the United Methodist Church in Green Forest, he also attended the United Methodist Church in Prairie Grove, AR. He was a member of the A Club, Arkansas High School Coaches Hall of Fame, Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame. He loved playing and coaching basketball, playing golf, and watching his grandkids play sports. He also loved camping, boating, fishing, and water skiing. Fred served in the U.S. Army during Peacetime.
