Tucker Carlson, filling in for Sean Hannity on Fox News last night, picked up the issue of President Barack Obama’s call to Philadelphia Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie, during which the president thanked Lurie for giving Michael Vick a second chance.
The call had been a hot topic on Fox throughout what was a pretty slow news day, but Carlson’s take took things to a new level.
I’m Christian. I’ve made mistakes. I believe fervently in second chances. Michael Vick killed dogs in a heartless and cruel way. I think, firstly, he should have been executed for that. The idea the president of the United States would be getting behind someone who murdered dogs is beyond the pale.
This is beyond anything I have heard from the animals rights people. First Micheal Vicks should not have done what he did with dogs fight mainly because it was against the law.and I am sure he didn't need the money but to say a human being should be put to death for killing a dog is just stupid and all thinking people know that what Carlson was really doing was jabbing at Obama for calling the fellow who hired Vicks back to play ball.
The truth is Obama could have avoided that phone call if he was using his head but even if he called it still is beyond the pale to say Vick's should have been executed for the mess.

I agree. I am an animal advocate but I certainly do not think Vicks should have been executed for what he did to those dogs.
I think he was punished enough for what he did. If any further punishment was needed it could have been that no one would hire him to play ball again.
Greed allowed him to go back to a lucrative career. The owner's greed for signing him again.
Tucker Carlson is an idiot.
