I made it out to feed the sleet is falls fast. it stopped a few minutes while I was talking to sunny sister but it started again before I got my clothing on to go out side.
We have sleet on the ground and some ice on the trees.
The ground is unfrozen at this time.
Sammy's white hens laid an egg. I didn't attempt to recover it and it had a soft shell but it was a large egg and was something to crow about.The hens ate it after one stepped on it and it broke.
The ice on the wire is the top of the chicken pen. The tempature in 31 degrees at 8:21 am.
