Hatchery chicks

They have landed. 16 black with white head Polish, 16 Austro whites , a mix between a leghorn and a austrolope, 15 Marans and 15 golden comet. golden comets are a sex linked chick than can be sexed when hatched the females are red and yellow and the males are yellow. Sammy has decided that we need a new pen for these hatchery chicks. He brought in a breathing disease of some kind from the sale and he doesn't want to put these bird in the pens . This disease doesn't kill all chickens that get it but the ones that live are carriers and will give it to any bird induced to the flock. one in 10 will die from the disease. I never agree with SAM about chickens I maintain the brooder is too full and he says not! Sammy is cooking breakfast.
