The plan

I have been out all morning working. Anyone that reads the link on my page that says allotment lady will know that this lady is very saving and make do person I got to thinking while I was out doing a general clean up, it is a waste of money for me to buy banties from a hatchery when I have 9 banty hens that will set at least once maybe twice this year even think some of my Rock hens are acting like they might like to raise babies. So I fixed a small shelter in my new pen with a roost and turned over a large garbage plastic can that we don't use any more, because the lid gave way,for a nesting place . I am going to put my heavy hens and rooster in there for the summer . I will keep the old pen for my banties because I HAVE WORKED TWO YEARS TO STOP ANY HOLES THAT THEY MIGHT BE ABLE TO USE TO GET out I will use the house for setting hens because they like a dark place, and my banties that are not setting can stay in my old pen. I will have to give them a roost and shelter but wont be to hard because they are so Small. I can raise banties chickens and heavies chickens also, if I keep the roosters in the pen where their kind lives.so I have plans. This is what I like about spring. The weather is nice and I can be out planning for the coming days.When we can not plan for the days to come we get to thinking maybe there are no days to come.This is why I have planted onion sets in my garden. could buy them as cheap but I can watch these grow and bring them in as I need them.
