I have a friend that I worked with at Tyson and was searching for pictures for her of Vietnam and found this one. when you look at this picture of a lady working in Vietnam count you blessings. My friend's name is Nygon and she left Saigon at the end of the war.
Nygon told me that she and her sister grew up on the streets of Saigon and her job as a little girl was to look for paper on the street and when night came she and her sister had a pan and water and a little rice. They twisted the paper Nygon had collected all day and would light one piece at a time and hold the flame under the pan until the water boiled and cooked their rice.
Then when she was 12 years old she got a job laying brick. she said this was very hard work.
There she meet her husband and he married her and brought her and her 2 children to this country. Nygon loved working at Tyson and making money.

Wow, what a moving story. I'm glad your friend found a better life.
I guess when we have a
pity party we should just
stop and look around us.
I am glad she found her
way to America.
