Report

I lost 2 babies last night. I had a rock in the pen and the light was shining toward the rock so they bedded down next to the rock and 2 smothered. I should have know better but I was thinking about keeping them warn.
Today they are moving around good and I moved the rock out of the pen. The light is shining away from the pen wall so if they want to crowd up to night they wont be able to pile up against the wall so should raise the rest.
thats all from chicken ridge.

Hi Patsy, from Derbyshire, England.
Sorry you lost 2 chicks, as sweet sister3 said, 'hope they were roosters, still , sad all the same.
On a lighter note, went to the Malvern Spring Quilt show in Worcestershire on saturday, it was really good. Many really good quilts and lots of inspiration, harwork and lovely friendly people. Have posted some photos on my blog, you might enjoy them, especially if you click on the pics and enlarge them, you'll see all the hard work and labours of love in them.
Take care,
Sandie
