My helper and I got the chicks caught and moved into their new home. There were two rock chicks in the bantam pen and I moved them and the larger hatchery chicks.
All the chickens I keep will have to go in this pen by cold weather because this is the pen attached to my hen house.
The bantams I left in the first cage are to small to move at this time. My 7 year old helper did a good job and I told him in October I would need him to catch the others and moved them. He answered that he would be ready.

I don't think you will end up liking the banties with feathers down their feet. Those feathers drag in the chicken...you know what...and then the feathers are nasty, nasty. They are pretty but I don't like them because they are not clean.
