Crept myrtle bush were blooming all over town and I got this photo. The house right above this one had a nice flower bed of Zinnas which I would have liked to shot but the lady of the house was watching out her front door and looking like she thought I was up to no good so I decided I had better move on before she called the cops.

Crepe Myrtles do really well where I live but not in my yard as it is too shady. They like water adn sun.
i think they are so pretty. They type of soil you have affects the color of the blooms.
I love crepe myrtle. We have 2 in the front yard but they are too close to a big oak and they are all bent from trying to grow towards the sun.
When I see a crepe myrtle I remember my father telling me that it is his favorite blooming tree.
