I put some of my hatched chicks in the pen and threw the mother back in the adult pen. I found a use for these plastic trays I have had for 3 or 4 years. They were throwing them away at work and Daisy Powell ask me if I wanted some of them. I didn't have any idea what I would do with them but now I have found a use for them.
The small chick gets under them to eat and the larger chicks can't hassel them.

It is totally weird that I have those flats and have used them in the same way! Sisters think alike.
This reminds me of my grandfather who had a shed in which he kept everything and anything - and he usually found a use for it all too.
