I went to feed and found the gray hen still trying to set and when I opened the hen house door I found the black banty still on a nest.
If I had more Rhode Island red's laying I might try setting some chicks for Betty.

I used to sit on the door step and watch my grandmother's chickens scratch and peck.
Don't set me any of those feathered chicks ...please...don't liek the feathers on the legs. None of mine are setting.
I obviously don't know much about chickens...what does "setting" mean?? They sure do keep you busy, though, don't they! lol xox
I love the white one best I think - lucky you getting more chicks
