LOL now that is just too adorable! What kind of chickens do you have that lay kittens??? hehe Love it! I so enjoyed reading the story of your grandma Gertie...I can well imagine how hard life was back then but people always made do. Gosh, that is scary to think that shotgun falling and blasting could have killed the baby! Fascinating story!! xox
