Dot of Georgia said to post a photo of a water fountain. I wanted the famous picture of Miss Jane Pittman drinking at whites only fountain but couldn't find one. This will have to suffice.
When I was young our town didn’t have a water fountain. If you were in Green Forest in my youth and wanted water you went into Bishop's drug and ask for water and you got a cocoa glass filled with cold water. Oh its taste was so good to a girl who never saw ice in a water glass in July.
Now if thirst besets you in our town you must shell out a dollar for bottled water in a coin machine.
Perhaps that is a good thing, the machine doesn't notice what color you are if you have the dollar.

Great picture Patsy! I almost got fired from a Kresses lunch county back in the 60's for not charging someone for a paper cup of ice water.
It always stuns me to think how humans accept inhumane treatment of their brothers and sisters.
I guess we have to be convinced first that some are not really our brothers and sisters, don't we.
