my morning

I went out and feed the chickens and then I took the weed eater and cut the grass around the step. My riding lawn mower can't get into the tight places.
I think in a month I will move the hatchery pullets into the main chicken run. I still have 13 since I put the lock on the door. I have 3 bantam pullets in the brooder so I will move them also.
I also feed the cats.
My neighbor came over yesterday and told me they were going back to California next week.She said they had 2 apple trees and I could have the fruit if I wanted it.They must have seen me feeding the cats.
I think I will pick some green apples and try to make green apple pectin just to see if it works. I found a receipt on the net that told me how to do this. If I can pick a few black berries I might try making black berry jelly with apple pectin.If I pick black berries I will have to get out early because of the heat.
