the debate/town hall is past, this was suppose to be John McCain's fore mat but I tell you it wasn't one his better days. I told fleta I wasn't going to watch the debate but I found I couldn't refrain from watching after all.
McCain reminded me of the wind up toys that were all the rage in the 60's and 70's. He shuffled around the stage like a toy wound up and let lose on the public.
The talking heads have made much of McCain calling Obama THAT ONE, they felt that McClain was being disrespectful of Obama but the truth is he forgot Obama's name. I know because that happens to me often with my 70 year old brain.
McCain also told Tom Brokaw that he would not want him for secretary of the treasury, well I know Tom Brokaw will not want the job.
After the debate was over I watched Obama work the crowd for 20 minutes and I thought why are they keeping the camera on Obama and not McCain and then they said McCain had left the building. The news people were puzzled as why he left so quickly but I realized that it was late and McCain needs his sleep. Old people have to have rest and sleep.

I thought he did look like a little wind up toy....walking stiff legged and arms out, bent at the elbow and hands drumming up and down albost like the nut cracker...or the Enigizer Bunny only slower....
missy watched it with me she said he reminded her of a little toy soldier cartoon....

I am not leaving many comments as my hands are sore and ache - but just wanted you to know that I visit you.

I thought there was something wrong with McCain, the way he kept wandering around while Obama was speaking. He didn't seem to be able to sit down. And, then when he and Cindy left immediately after the debate, I wondered even more.
I am sure he does have many health problems that we don't know about.
That's true. He did a deplorable job...never really addressing issues...just attacking Obama right and left. Poor old guy! He must be exhausted at his age. I am 72 and that pace would have killed me. I came home from three days at peace colloquy and was exhausted and I'm an energetic 72.
I think he might have realized how outclassed he was by Obama's manner and attitude compared to his own and just wanted to get out as quick as possible. It was certainly obvious to anyone that watched.
Our paper had a wonderful picture this morning of McCain looking at Obama, and if looks could kill Obama would be dead. I think McCain has grown to despise Obama.
The format last evening certainly was not favorable to McCain. His physical limitations were very visable, he looked older than his years, and he was snarky. It's a shock to his system that America is not falling to its knees in adoration of him.
Sorry but he's burned me out with the pow story. Others sacrificed as much or more than he did.
I love how you cut thru the chase and tell it like it is. Good for you!
