Petunia

Petunia is a trumpet shaped, widely-cultivated genus of flowering plants of South American origin, in the family Solanaceae. The popular flower got its name from French, which took the word petun 'tobacco' from a Tupi-Guarani language. Most of the varieties seen in gardens are hybrids (Petunia x hybrida).
No flower is nicer in a hanging basket in the spring on the porch than the lovely petunia. The perfume from this flower can make the air so sweet. My grandmother grew these flowers every spring and every time I see them I remember her.

Tell me, Patsy, how do you keep the petunias from getting leggy and losing that round shape? Do you constantly pinch them back?
