The secret service are taking the guarding of the president elect very seriously as well they should During the day he ventured out twice, once to visit his local gym and then his downtown offices.
I am sure no president elect has faced more danger than Obama is facing. I had told my children he should go into the white House on January 20 and not come out ever again. He should make videos and then have secret service open the door a crack and throw the video out on the lawn.

I read yesterday that a car passed through the secret service barricade to get around it and when passing the vehicle with Obama in it, the secret service... guns drawn, forced the couple off the road and got them out of their vehicle to question them. It seems this couple just didn't want to wait and tried to go around the motorcade. I doubt they will do that again.
