signs of hope

I looked out my kitchen window in the evening fading light and I spied two birds in the wild cherry tree with the broken limbs from the ice storm. one was a robin and the other was a house wren. Can spring be far behind?

I've seen several robins this week. Seems they've arrived a bit early, but I'll take any sign of spring I can get.

"CHICAGO – "Chemistry look what you've done to me," Donna Summer crooned in Science of Love, and so, it seems, she was right. Just in time for Valentine's Day, a panel of scientists examined the mystery of what happens when hearts throb and lips lock. Kissing, it turns out, unleashes chemicals that ease stress hormones in both sexes and encourage bonding in men, though not so much in women."

Either way, Kiss somebody today. They will love you for it.
