I went to feed and took my goose neck hoe and broke up some of the chicken waste in the chicken house, it is so full of manure and I need to get some of it out but this is hard work. I only had my flat edge shovel because my spade has been "LOST" since fall.
I usually stand my work tools between the house and the porch and had lost the pointed spade, I thought someone had stole it but I was wrong. I found in the dead grass that had grown up and covered it. I also found a short handle hoe that I stole from Fleta's husband about 10 years ago.
George stole it from the army and then I took it from him.
It amazing what will make you happy on a warm spring day. I have green onions growing up in the dead grass next to the house that I didn't pull last fall. I am going to try taking the weed eater out and cut the grass and the tops and hope I can take George's hoe and get some of the grass roots out and maybe I can have free green onions in April. My winter onions are growing again, corn bread and green onions will be good to eat next month.
