Sammy wanted to take several hens and sell them yesterday. I was able to talk him out of it and he took 3 roosters.
he came home very disgusted the price had broke as I told him it would and Sammy's chicken buying fever has broke also.
The problem for Sammy and his banties is that the sell or trade is all the interest he has in chickens as for me I love the sight of them, the early morning crowing of the rooster and the egg song when a hen lays and the clucking of a mother hen is joy to me not the price they will bring on the market.
I went out yesterday and found 3 small eggs in the nest and they were a pleasure to me as I carried them into the house and placed them in the refrigerator.
