chickens eggs

I saw a small egg in the chick pen yesterday so I think the pullets are going to lay soon. I counted and they will be 21 weeks old the last   Thursday of September. Every thing I read says most of the high  power pullets lay at about 22 weeks..
Sam has gone out to feed some corn to them. I have to wait a while until I have been up for a few minutes. I just don't get around well when I first get out of bed.
Kelly has made a date to take our pigs to market so I will be busy rendering lard soon.  I are looking forward to going to the Powell reunion a week from Saturday. I will be glad to see Winnie Jo again and all the rest of our kin.
The good news for today is the sun is shining, I see it thro' the window in my door. I was about ready to give up on it every shining again.
